The movie “Matrix” marked a whole generation with its message, its aesthetics and its direction. The quest for meaning that drives Neo and his companions, and the spectators, poses a question that crosses over time: Do we live in the “matrix”, this world of illusions? 2600 years before the movie, a sage in India, the Buddha, answered this same question. His answer was the Four Noble Truths, which would become the pillars of his philosophy.
